Summary: Use PsychFlash responsibly for educational purposes. The app is provided "as is" for learning support. You retain rights to content you create.
1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using PsychFlash ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you do not have permission to use the App.
These Terms apply to all users of the App, including without limitation users who are browsers, students, educators, and contributors of content.

PsychFlash is an educational mobile application that provides:

The content provided in PsychFlash is for educational purposes only. It is not intended to be and should not be used as:

- A substitute for professional medical judgment
- The sole resource for exam preparation
Always consult qualified healthcare professionals for medical decisions and verify information with authoritative sources and textbooks.
3.2 Content Accuracy
While we strive to provide accurate, up-to-date content:
- Medical and scientific knowledge evolves continuously
- We cannot guarantee the accuracy of all information
- Users should verify critical information from primary sources
- We welcome corrections and updates from users
4. User Accounts and Access
4.1 No Account Required
PsychFlash does not require user registration or account creation. All data is stored locally on your device.
4.2 Device Requirements
To use PsychFlash, you need:
- An Apple device running iOS 17.0 or later
- Sufficient storage space for the app and your data
5. User Content
5.1 Your Custom Content
You retain all rights to flashcards and decks you create within the App. You are solely responsible for any content you create, including ensuring it does not:
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
- Contain illegal, harmful, or offensive material
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
5.2 Content License
By using the App's sharing features (if/when available), you grant PsychFlash a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and distribute your shared content for the purpose of providing the service.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Content
The pre-made flashcard content, app design, code, graphics, and other materials are owned by PsychFlash or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission
- Use our content for commercial purposes
- Reverse engineer or decompile the App
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
6.2 Trademarks
"PsychFlash" and our logo are trademarks. You may not use these marks without our prior written consent.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe on the rights of others
- Distribute malware or harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems
- Interfere with other users' use of the App
- Engage in any activity that could damage or impair the App
8. Purchases and Subscriptions
8.1 In-App Purchases
PsychFlash may offer premium features or content through in-app purchases. All purchases are:
- Processed through Apple's App Store
- Subject to Apple's terms and conditions
- Final and non-refundable except as required by law
8.2 Subscriptions
If you subscribe to premium features:
- Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
- You can manage subscriptions in your device settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- MERCHANTABILITY
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- NON-INFRINGEMENT
- ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS OF CONTENT
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PSYCHFLASH AND ITS DEVELOPERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Any loss of profits, data, or goodwill
- Any damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App
- Any damages resulting from reliance on content in the App
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the past 12 months.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PsychFlash, its developers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Content you create or share through the App
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the App will immediately cease
- You may delete the App from your device
- Provisions of these Terms that should survive termination will remain in effect
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes through:
- In-app notifications
- Updates to this page
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts of Australia.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and PsychFlash regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.

18. Apple-Specific Terms

- Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms
